The Horsehead and Flame Nebulae

Part of the Orion Constellation, the bright star between the two nebulae is Alnitak, the left-most star in Orion’s Belt.

This is an original work, #7 for 2016, 12″x4″ acrylic on 1.5″ deep canvas. The star field and nebula wrap around the edges, and it is signed on the side to be displayed without a frame.
