Dueling Guide Stars

 

Inspired by Star Wars (for the red and green laser colors) and a trip I took in 2016 to Mauna Kea and the observatories up there. The painting is based in part on a photo I took of the Keck Observatories.

Update 3/14/16: This painting won the Judge’s Merit award for the Science Fiction category at StarFest 2016!
